Omaha · Websites for small business & nonprofits

A website you
actually own.

Most small business sites are trapped inside somebody else's platform. You can't get in, your marketing guy can't get in, and every change means waiting on a company three states away. I build sites where you hold every login, and when you need a change you text me, not a ticket queue.

The usual story

Why most small business sites go stale

You don't have the keys

The site was built on a reseller platform. Admin access lives with a vendor you've never spoken to. Simple edits take weeks, if they happen at all.

It's three years behind

Slow on phones, broken contact form, hours that were right in 2023. Every one of those quietly costs you calls.

Nothing feeds it

No reviews, no Google Business Profile upkeep, no fresh pages. Google and the AI assistants both go looking for signals of life and don't find any.

Recent work

Bones & Homes Animal Rescue

Their site showed stock photos instead of real dogs, had no way to apply as a foster, and no donation path. I wired it straight into the software they already use, so every animal they take in now appears on the site automatically, with adoption and foster applications and donations all working.

“This looks amazing!!!! Thank you so much!”

— Bones & Homes Animal Rescue, Omaha

Omaha roofing company

They had service pages nobody could find. I rebuilt three of them around what people actually type into Google. "Insurance claim roofing" went from the bottom of page one to #1. "Roof inspection" wasn't ranking at all, now it's #3.

Nonprofit and animal rescue? Ask me. Rescues get reduced rates and sometimes free, depending on what you need.

The part nobody tells you

You own everything. In writing.

I've seen a local business discover their website admin actually belonged to a platform company in another state, through a middleman they'd never met. Nobody in town could grant access to their own site. That happens constantly and most owners never find out until they need something changed.

That's not how I work.

How it goes

Four steps, no mystery

We talk

Fifteen minutes. What you sell, who you want calling, what's broken now.

I build it

You see a real working version, not a mockup. Changes are free until it's right.

We flip it live

I handle the domain and DNS. No downtime, no lost email, no gap in Google.

I keep it running

Care plan starts the next month. Updates, backups, changes, and a monthly report.

Straight answers

Questions I get

Will I lose my Google ranking?

No. Your web address stays exactly the same, page for page, so Google sees the same site at the same place. I move the sitemap over and watch Search Console for two weeks after to be sure.

What happens to my email?

Nothing. Email runs on separate settings from the website. I copy those over exactly and test them before anything switches.

How long does it take?

A rebuild is usually a week. A five page site about two weeks. Twelve pages, three to four weeks. The clock starts when I have your photos and content.

Do I have to keep the care plan?

Cancel any time. You keep the site, the domain, and every login. It exists because a site nobody maintains is worthless in a year, not to trap you.

Can you work with the site I already have?

Usually yes. WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy, most of it. If it's locked behind a platform that won't give you access, I can rebuild it somewhere you control and keep every page and its ranking.

Who am I actually hiring?

Me, Ryan Romero. I'm a systems administrator by trade, in Omaha, and I do the work myself. You aren't getting handed to an account manager or somebody overseas.

Tell me what's broken

Send me your website address and what's bugging you about it. I'll tell you straight what I'd do and what it costs. No pitch deck, no pressure.
